I was busy doing something else the other day when a TV show announced it would be showing a report about the 10 best public restrooms ... I'm not sure if they were in New York or the USA or the world ... needless to say I didn't bother checking it out... but now comes word via Global Voices that Moroccan blogger Big Brother Maroc [Fr] reports on the launch of Bitelma [Fr] (which translates to Water Closet), a website that invites visitors to publish pictures of “the worst public toilets in the country” listed by city and address (train stations, bars, restaurants, malls, universities…) in an effort “to pressure the authorities and private owners to better maintain toilets used by the public.”
